Description:
This 2nd shift position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in a manufacturing environment. However, the main essential job functions include: loading and unloading raw materials into automatic dryers and manually dumping product directly onto feed conveyors; must be able to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs. Duties and Responsibilities: A Dryer Operator is expected to perform the following essential job functions (detailed): Handling product that may have a temperature of 32-36 degrees Fahrenheit. Responsible for counting and keeping track of product dumped into the hoppers. Safely operate hoists, dryers, and dumping machines. Transferring filled baskets of product in and out of dryers. Perform other duties (such as basic housekeeping) as assigned. Qualifications: Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift (8 hours or more), perform repetitive motions throughout shift such as push/pull/lift, bend continuously throughout the shift, lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds, and be able to climb stairs or step up onto a platform several times throughout the shift Must be able to work in a noisy, wet and cold environment of approximately 36 degrees Fahrenheit.
