Concert Orchestra Director (PT Contract Employee): As a valued member of the Lyceum Youth Orchestras Program at American Heritage School, the Director of the Concert Orchestra at the American Fork campus will actively recruit participants, direct the ensemble from 3:45 to 5:45 pm on select Wednesdays during the school year, program appropriate-level repertoire for participants and coordinate with other directors. Concert Orchestra is a full symphonic student orchestra ranging in age from 12-18 consisting of strings, winds, brass, and percussion. Well-qualified candidates will have a bachelor's or master's degree in music with a suggested minimum of four years of experience conducting full symphony orchestras. Successful candidates must demonstrate strong conducting and rehearsal skills, broad understanding of the orchestral ensemble repertory, high energy and effective classroom management skills. C andidates should have a desire to work in a faith-based atmosphere aligned with the values taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, be professional in appearance and demeanor, and willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission , Honor Code , and Diversity Statement on and off-campus. Position available for the 2023-24 school year with limited preparatory duties starting April of 2023. Compensation commensurate with experience.
