POSITION PURPOSE The Application Analyst will perform a variety of duties related to the integration, administration, upgrade, testing, and support of enterprise and departmental applications. This position encompasses requirements gathering, design, installation, upgrades, enhancement and support, training, and documentation development. The Application Analyst requires independent decision-making, problem solving, leadership, systems analysis, customer service, organization, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The analyst must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize projects and tasks effectively. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/TASKS Troubleshoot and assist with various web and enterprise applications Collaborate with partners to ensure that solutions achieve business objectives Stay updated with new trends in the industry by attending conferences, research, and meetings with vendors Provide end-user training whether structured or in an on-demand scenario Act as the voice of the customer on product improvement and new product development projects Participating in the evaluation, testing, and recommendation of new software Support outside regular working hours in cases where required per normal IT practices Coordinate enhancements, upgrades, data conversions for multiple business groups Maintain documentation, knowledge base articles, known defects list, release notes, etc. Pro-actively identify and own the management of incidents, events, and problems Provide excellent customer service, support, and communication for end-users Manage escalations to vendor partners as appropriate Perform all other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned by management QUALIFICATIONS Technical Qualifications: Working knowledge of cloud computing and Software as a Service (SaaS) Financial, HR and Sales Systems support (e.g., NetSuite, Concur, Salesforce, ADP, Sage) Business data validation and reporting (e.g., SQL, PowerBI) Incident, defect, and release management best practices (e.g., Service Now, Zenhub) Demonstrated knowledge of supporting and documenting requirements and process details across complex environments that include multiple systems and business units Experience with Apple/iOS and Android devices, Service Desk ticketing systems, and remote computer support technologies Behavioral Qualifications : Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multi-task with minimal supervision Ability to respond to escalated support cases with a sense of urgency Ability to quickly learn technologies and products using documentation and internet resources Ability to effectively communicate with employees, executives, and suppliers in a wide range of situations Ability to patiently explain concepts to users in laymen's terms Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and conceptual skills Intellectually curious and excited to continuously learn new business concepts, process designs, and business technologies Experience : 3+ years' work experience in technical support and/or applications support Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience PREFERENCES Knowledge of data validation and data manipulation using SQL (PostgreSQL) Knowledge of data reporting using industry standard tools (e.g., Microsoft PowerBI) Knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS) applications such as NetSuite, ServiceNow, Concur, Salesforce and ADP Knowledge of data integration platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Dell Boomi) Knowledge of incident and ticketing systems (e.g., Service Now, Zenhub) Application support, project management, and/or ITIL certification desired SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS Duties are performed in the following work environments: 95% office and 5% field WORK REQUIREMENTS Largely sedentary role, with extended periods of computer usage Ability to stoop, bend, or stand as necessary Must be able to lift 25 pounds Must have a valid DL THE COMPANY offers excellent benefits including: Medical, Dental, Life, Long Term Disability, PTO days, Paid Holidays and a 401(k) Retirement Plan.
