Description:
Job description Experience Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in transportation operations. Major Responsibilities and Duties Routes and Schedules /1pm to 10pm Tuesday through Saturday after 30 days of training 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday Optimize vehicle routing and records supporting data/documentation. Perform driver and route audits to manage hours and minimize overtime for employees. Respond to after-hours-emergency calls as needed; operate buses and deliver buses to drivers when breakdowns occur. Assure compliance with departmental procedures, State regulations and other laws, rules and regulations related to transportation of students. Prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports related to transportation activities, staff and operations. Supervise the safety programs and their formulation as well as employee driving safety records. Assist in the development of training options and improvement plans to ensure exemplary operation of the transportation department. Comply with applicable personnel policies. Personnel Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; participate in interviewing, selecting, and assigning work to personnel. Evaluate employee job performances to ensure effectiveness. Safety Assist with gathering information in investigations of accidents Help organize and conduct training programs to promote a safe work environment. Ensure that transportation equipment is in excellent operating condition. Other Attend professional growth activities to keep abreast of innovative techniques in transportation. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals. Demonstrates integrity and ethics. Display proficient levels of technology application. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interaction with all stakeholders and co-workers. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that goals of the company are met. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communications (i.e. email, written, and verbal). Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
