The Stony Brook School post-graduate teaching fellowship is a one to two-year program that equips recent college graduates for teaching in secondary schools and Christian ministry. The program will also provide rich experience to prepare Fellows for careers in other fields, especially academia and Christian ministry. A Teaching Fellow can generally expect to: Collaborate with an experienced faculty member and assist in their classroom teaching and lesson planning Teach one or two individual sections of their own Conference regularly with a mentor teacher and the Academic Dean's office Serve as a dorm parent in a residential apartment Contribute to 1-2 co-curricular activities such as athletics, theater, Robotics, Ethics Bowl, Science Olympiad, Mock Trial, etc. The faculty and staff of The Stony Brook School are a unique and diverse community of scholars, ministers, and teachers united in our commitment to young people and the Christian mission of the School. Established in 1922, The Stony Brook School is a Christian college preparatory (Grades 7-12) boarding and day school situated on a beautiful 55-acre campus on the north shore of Long Island, NY.
