Job description Family Road of Greater Baton Rouge is seeking a Part Time Health Educator to provide comprehensive, standards-based health education curriculum that is designed to improve clients' knowledge, attitude and behavior regarding STD/HIV and pregnancy prevention. The health educator provides health education, community resource/referral and program outreach/recruitment. Health Educator must have exceptional communication/ interpersonal skills, must be comfortable with providing public program presentations, have the ability to interact effectively with multi-disciplinary team members and program participants, must be detailed oriented, have excellent organizational/time management skills, comprehensive knowledge of community resources, experience in working with adolescent and adult populations. Must be able to learn and execute BY-LA! program design, implementation, management, monitoring and required performance and reporting. Candidate must be proficient in data collection/data entry, must have exceptional computer skills with experience in using Microsoft and other computer applications, and knowledge of social media communication. Candidate must have flexibility to travel for training and professional development. Position requires a Bachelor's degree in social services arena with 2-3 years of health education experience in a social service setting. Years of experience and/or a Master's or Bachelor's degree in another discipline with professional level social service experience can also be substituted. Salary is based on education level and experience. Job Type: Part-time (up to a maximum of 20 hrs per week) Salary: $15 - $20 per hr based on experience Retirees, at home Moms, Veterans are encouraged to apply. Policies and procedures are in place. Must be comfortable with on-line teaching on different platforms. Covid vaccination is required.
