AirCo Air Conditioning Heating and Plumbing in Fort Worth has an opening for a motivated HVAC Service Professional, with a positive attitude to join our team as an HVAC Service Supervisor. Summary/Objective: In this position you will need to be able to work in a fast paced environment to manage a team of HVAC Service technicians by coaching, training and motivating the team and improve upon the continued profitability and growth of the service department. Other duties include customer relations, reviewing all billing and warranty claims, working with the other service supervisors and other departments within the company and reporting directly to the HVAC Service Manager. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full time position. General business hours are Monday - Friday, 8a - 5p with some weeknights, weekends and evenings. Qualifications: 5 + years as an HVAC service technician Valid driver's license and insurable driving record Familiarity with directing warranty claims Working knowledge of different manufacturers for ordering parts Experience in building and managing positive, productive work teams. Must pass drug and background screens Valid driver's license and insurable through company insurance carrier Able to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing Essential Duties Provide technical support and direction to field service technicians and ensure that proper service techniques are utilized. Provide technical estimating for replacement equipment and repairs to existing equipment. Multi-task in a way that allows for proper coordination of all service department activities. Be detail oriented with a strong understanding of customer service and employee relations. Efficiently plan, coordinate and oversee field service operations. Identify work flow weaknesses and implement corrective action. Oversee, Manage, and Maintain Service Project Budgets/Job Costs Prepare proposals and technical packages Business Development and Customer relations Training of the technicians, one on one meetings, and conduct ride alongs Responsible for technicians hitting their performance targets and maximizing their potential Monitor customer feedback and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is achieved Identify opportunities for personal growth and development Ensure profitability and targets of the contracts and projects are controlled, understood, maintained and maximized Acts as technical expert for troubleshooting and diagnosis for field service techs. Provides detailed quotes to customers for repair and service work Documents work by completing electronic work order on each job Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need. Perform Technical & Supervisor work in the operation and maintenance of residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and related equipment. Manage and guide service technicians, as well as, maintain involvement with Call Center Manager, Lead Coordination, and Dispatch Center Managers daily to ensure technicians are scheduled to the appropriate number of calls. Continuously evaluate current technician's skill sets and their training needs to invoice repairs. Invest time on personal development to increase personal leadership within departments. Lead, direct, and motivate service techs to reach their highest level of potential. Achieve maximum motivation and attitude within service department. Decrease the amount of call backs and cost for warranties in the department, with better training. Establish all service technicians to sell IAQ products weekly. Communicate with Service Manager on weekly training for technicians Bring forth a positive energy and enthusiasm for the success of the department. Review work order results and ensure quality and order completeness. Prioritize work orders based on pre-determined ranking, customer and financial criteria. Review technician performance and behavior to maximize customer service and operational efficiency. Other duties as assigned.
