JOB TITLE: MRI Technologist GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: To provide the highest level of service to Center for Orthpaedics' Radiology patients. Performs MRI Scans for a busy Imaging Center. This PRN position is for evening AND/OR day shifts for Saturdays. SUPERVISION REQUIRED: Practice Administrator SUPERVISION EXERCISED: This position does not supervise any employees. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: MRI TECHNOLOGIST Perform and prepare MRI scans ordered by physicians. Collect patient's history prior to exam and prepare patients for MRI procedures. Work daily in PACS and other Systems. Orders and receives any supplies as needed for the department and maintains such supplies in accordance with department policy. Monitors equipment performance and notifies the supervisor of any repair assistance needed. Performs minor maintenance tasks MRI equipment. Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor. Is responsible for coordinating all preventative maintenance on equipment. Works closely with the onsite Radiologist to ensure quality of scans. Works closely with the schedulers to ensure patients are scheduled in the most appropriate and efficient manner.
