Space COMSEC Product Specialist (Test Set Designer)

Description:
Primary Responsibilities Understanding of space COMSEC product technical capabilities and their applications. Research and provide organic solutions and/or system upgrades and/or modification to legacy COMSEC and non-COMSEC special test equipment and environmental test equipment. Identify deficiencies during testing and report findings to the Government Chief of Maintenance and/or Lead Engineer. Review pertinent data to perform root cause analysis to verify the sustainability of the equipment. Ensure equipment meets all specifications, interoperability requirements, and is properly integrated for usability. Test and provide technical support for equipment after any system upgrades, modifications, and/or implementation of any new organic test equipment. Update or write Technical Orders, Test Procedures, Engineering Change Proposals, Technical Evaluations, Safety Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Repair Process, Test Plans/Procedures, and Technical Data Packages (TDP) for Space COMSEC products and equipment. Education Bachelor's Degree or higher in professional engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineer curriculum. Qualifications Minimum 5 years' experience and knowledge with electronic theory and characteristics, experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and design/replacement of electronic equipment (digital and analog) for both stand alone and integrated test sets. Experience with areas of anomaly resolution/troubleshooting, test and evaluations, and software coding for test. Working knowledge in LabVIEW Software and National Instrument Test Hardware Systems, MATLAB, or ATE design/build experience. Desired experience in cryptologic systems and space flight certification testing (vibe, thermal vacuum, thermal cycling). Clearance Requirements Preferred - Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility Minimum - Active Secret security clearance
