Warehouse Worker – 1st Shift

Jonti-Craft is hiring a Warehouse Worker for our first shift. The Warehouse employee stores, processes, and receives all product and materials located in the Jonti-Craft Warehouse. They also maintain and organize the warehouse and make occasional runs to our warehouses in other towns. Essential Functions: Load and unload trucks. Maintain thorough knowledge of all warehouse processes and equipment. Complete cycle counts and accurate inventory counts. Put away and pull finished goods as needed. Update and help document the inventory while stored. Operate forklifts (RFT - Regular Full Time only) and pallet jacks. Update and enter ECO's (internal system to request changes) Complete quality checks on all incoming freight. Change LP tanks on forklifts (RFT only). Assist in day-to-day housekeeping duties of the warehouse. Presence in the workplace is an essential function of this job. Other duties as assigned. Hours are typically from 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday Qualifications: Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language for safety purposes in an understandable manner. Excellent communication skills. Ability to operate a handheld PC. May be required to work with or train new employees in the use of a handheld pc. Must be able to understand and comprehend grid areas and locations. Shipping experience preferred. Forklift experience preferred. Ability to learn our support systems (Fourth Shift and internal tools). Working Conditions: Our production environment is typical for wood manufacturing and includes a variety of environmental elements including loud noise, dust, and aromas. While this is an indoor operation, temperatures will vary with the outdoor temperature and some areas of the shop may be hot or cold. Worker may be subject to vibration. Worker is subject to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles and/or heat. Physical Requirements: Production positions are physically demanding and may be strenuous. They are standing positions and include frequent walking, lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds. There are a lot of body movements, including extending arms, grasping with hands, and flexing of wrists. There may be a lot of bending and twisting. Each position requires ongoing rotations of movements and workers must have the physicality to perform the essential functions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push or pull up to 150 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
