SUMMARY Truck Pusher will monitor personnel actions and oversees most day to day operations of group. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and evaluation is expected. This position will coordinate with Trucking Manager for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the JMAC Resources policies and Department of Transportation laws. Will also use their experience to sell work to various companies for future work DUTIES Work closely with the Trucking Manager to develop processes & procedures Supervises employees who transport cargo to and from specified locations.; Plans, assigns, and direct fleet drivers; Oversees the loading and unloading of company vehicles. Locates routes to maximize productivity. Orders permits; Safety Training and Development of new and existing drivers Evaluate and Critique potential new hires as they come in Communicate and inform Dispatch with equipment breakdowns and completion of work orders on trucks and trailers Communicate with Dispatch and Trucking Manager on equipment availability Maintain, Diagnose, and Troubleshoot any potential down trucks and fix in the field Monitor flow of Trucks on any given project. Report Daily to Truck Manager on Equipment and Concerns Address complaints and resolves problems Interfaces with client representatives (Company Men); Works closely with Dispatchers Other duties may be assigned. Send out daily report to Trucking Manager on the current day at the end of every day Help with trucking duties when the Trucking Manager is gone or on Vacation Etc Rotate weekends with the current field supervisors Make sure the trucks are clean at all times and the drivers are properly maintaining the equipment to JMAC standards. RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrated commitment to safety as expressed in JMAC Resources corporate value People First, Safety Always Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. 2 year experience working as a Class A Truck Driver Valid US issued Class A driver's license, with clean driving record Knowledge of the operation of the truck and trailers (Tankers, Belly dumps, Side dumps) that the company uses in its daily operations. Medical card Drug & Alcohol free Computer skills , Excel , word Etc Availability, day or night Availability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required Ability to work safely in all types of weather Ability to operate front end loaders and load truck independently if needed Ability to report to work at all times on short notice Ability to crawl under truck for inspection and greasing as required Physical ability to access and operate equipment and to safely function in/around a construction worksite and kneel crouch, bend, and reach with hands/arms Ability to crawl under truck for inspection and greasing as required Physical ability lift and carry 50 pounds Ability to lift hood, check oil and coolant levels and all other inspection functions daily Job Posted by ApplicantPro
