Salary: $13.00 - $16.00 Hourly Job Type: Temporary/Seasonal Location: Logan, Utah Department: Public Works FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Appointed Position: No Job Number: 23-23 Closing Date: Until Filled Description: Under general supervision, will be responsible for providing various services for the City's annual construction projects and other physical laboring tasks such as raking, shoveling various materials, street cleaning, traffic control, and painting. Will be responsible to provide a safe traffic controlled environment for the public and fellow employees. Will operate equipment such as concrete grinders, power washers, paint machines, pickup trucks, some hand tools, etc. Some contact with the public. Over-time is required at times. Responsibilities: Will be responsible to provide a safe traffic controlled environment for the public and fellow employees. APPLICANTS: This position is for the Street Division summer road projects. This position posting will establish a hiring roster that will be used to fill seasonal vacancies. Applications received for this position are reviewed on an on-going basis by the hiring department and will be considered for each vacancy as they become available throughout the season. Qualifications: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Must be in good physical condition, and capable of working in dusty environmental conditions ranging from extreme cold and wet to extreme hot. Ability to work and communicate effectively with the general public. Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with fellow employees. Ability to work with others daily. Ability to communicate verbally and written. Ability to follow specific written and verbal directions. Requires physical effort and continuous exposure to health or accident hazards. Ability to work in the summer heat and fall cold conditions, Various state and city certifications may be required as per assignment. Must have a valid Utah Driver's License.
