Healthcare Compliance Internship - Summer 2023 Strategic Management is seeking a highly motivated postgraduate student currently enrolled in a Law, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Public Policy, or related master's program with a serious interest in healthcare compliance for an exciting hands-on internship opportunity. About this Career Opportunity: Strategic Management's Healthcare Compliance Internship Program is an excellent opportunity for current post-graduate students to gain hands-on experience working in regulatory and operational healthcare compliance with some of the most knowledgeable and experienced professionals in the industry. Healthcare Compliance Interns gain practical healthcare compliance consulting experience through conducting activities such as: Research, analysis, and assessment around federal healthcare regulations including the False Claims Act, Anti-kickback Statute, Stark Laws, HIPAA, Affordable Care Act, and other state and federal laws and regulations Development, assessment and update of compliance policies and procedures and compliance training programs Research, analysis and writing for briefs and articles on relevant compliance-related topics Healthcare Compliance Interns are also exposed to various training sessions and are given the opportunity to shadow senior consultants and observe various types of client engagements. All interns are assigned a mentor to help guide them through the internship. The duration of the internship is approximately 4 months, with the potential for a future permanent full-time position. It is located in Strategic Management's headquarters in the Washington D.C. metro area, with the option to work remote. Qualifications: Qualified candidates will possess: Basic knowledge of the healthcare laws and regulations Ability to research and understand implications of federal healthcare regulations Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills Professional demeanor and approach to work Ability to work collaboratively Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and timelines Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) Currently pursuing a in law or master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Public Policy, or Business Administration (healthcare emphasis) About Strategic Management Services, LLC: Strategic Management is the leading consulting firm in the area of healthcare compliance.
