Golf Course Maintenance Position Type : Part-Time - Seasonal Non-Exempt Start Date : ASAP Starting Salary : DOQ Benefits : District Discounts, Flexible hours Summary Golf Course Maintenance staff are responsible for performing a variety of grounds maintenance duties to a standard set by the Golf Course Superintendent. They are Part-Time, Seasonal employees from mid-March through mid-November. Work performed at a moderate, constant pace, but may vary slightly depending on the demands of the job required. The employee must be able to work flexible hours, with some weekend morning duties. Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. Must possess a willingness to learn the industry, a general background with some experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping, nursery work or lawn maintenance is required. The employee must be able to work with others, be punctual and conscientious of their work and surroundings. CPR, First Aid and AED Certification required and if not certified, he/she must become certified . Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions Mowing of Golf Course Grounds, Fairways, Tees, Rough and Greens. Raking Sand Traps. Clean and Organize Maintenance Facility. Shoveling Sand, Gravel and Topsoil. Trimming Long Grass with String Trimmer. Fill and Lift Water Coolers. Change Cups on Greens and Tee Markers. Hand Watering Turf. Repair Irrigation Leaks. Trim Trees and Shrubs. Fertilizing and Seeding of Turf. Participate in relevant safety trainings. Perform other related duties as assigned
