Since that time, our year-round camp programs have served over 38,500 campers from 45 states and 13 foreign countries. We serve children who typically would not be able to attend camp due to their illness and financial constraints. CCK provides respite and support for these ill children and their families and is designed exclusively for the use of an underserved medically fragile population. The children and families who attend CCK are able to experience activities like horseback riding, boating, fishing, rock climbing and bowling with no limitations or barriers. CCK family retreats and summer camp sessions are offered at NO COST to the children and families we serve.The Center for Courageous Kids, Scottsville, Kentucky, has an immediate opening for a full-time Camp Nurse. This individual will manage all aspects of the nursing program at CCK. Assists Director of Medical Administration in matters related to medical needs of Camp. Responsible for the recruitment and supervision of part-time and volunteer medical staff.Minimum Qualifications: Must be an RN or above (BSN, FNP, ARNP, CPNP) licensed in the state of Kentucky Must be computer literate, demonstrating proficiency in Word, Excel and other Microsoft applications Familiar with EMR's Must have professional adaptability in learning and adhering to CCK's policies, procedures and medical organization and protocol Must have the ability, desire and expertise to work with children Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written Excellent organizational, time management and analytical skills High personal integrity and sound personal and professional ethics Benefits include: insurance, vacation, sick, holidays and 401KPlease apply with cover letter and resume
