STEEL RECEIVER & SHEAR OPERATOR - 2nd Shift

Startinging Rate $19.55 for 2nd Shift The Receiver will be responsible for maintaining the supply and demand of inventory, and ensuring that there are adequate stocks available. The Receiver will also ensure stock purchasing, delivery and shipping confirmations, and manage inventory balances. The ideal candidate will be able to keep a complete a detailed database of inventory and supply documentation and will also be responsible for receiving and personally inspect and confirm supply quality and delivery. RESPONSIBILITIES: Enter shipping and inventory data in computer system. Manage purchase orders for incoming equipment, services, and supplies. Verify receipts and confirm purchase contents and orders are complete. Remove inventory from shipment delivery trucks using a pallet jack and/or forklift. Ensure supplied stocks meet demand. Set-up and operate power shear to cut metal objects, such as plates, sheets, slabs, billets, or bars to specified dimensions and angle. Lay out cutting lines on metal, using rule, square, or template when shearing single pieces. Set up and operate shear on production line in which shear is fed by conveyor, such as automobile frame line or rolling mill. Operate portable shear to cut sheet metal, inspect work, using tape, compass, gauge, template, or micrometer to verify dimensions. Operate shear that automatically shears to uniform length metal sheets, plates, or structural shapes fed into machine by continuous coil or conveyor. RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have previous steel experience. Accurate and precise attention to detail. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) required. Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds. Able to pass post offer physical, drug test and background check.
