JD Machine Corp of Ogden, UT is seeking to hire a full-time CNC Machinist Apprentice to attend a machining program at a technical college while working and learning from our experienced machinists. And as long as you maintain 75% attendance or progress, we will pay for your tuition, books, supplies, and fees ! Do you enjoy working with your hands? Do you like knowing how things are made? A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A CNC MACHINIST APPRENTICE In addition to attending a technical college to learn about the world of CNC machinery, you also work at our fully climate controlled facility . As a CNC Machinist Apprentice, from day one you run a CNC machine making parts for our customers. Your eye for detail assists you as you check for quality and make adjustments to fixtures to ensure that the finished product will meet customer expectations. QUALIFICATIONS Problem-solving skills Ability to think through mathematical problems High mechanical aptitude Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and a criminal background check WORK SCHEDULE Our apprentices work 20 hours a week at our facility and attend a technical college for the remaining 20 hours a week. The training schedule is Monday through Thursday from 6 am to 4 pm and once you are ready you will move to swing shifts Monday through Thursday from 3:45 pm to 1:45 am.
