QTEC Aerospace is seeking multiple SOFTWARE INTEGRATION ENGINEERS to join our team of professionals in Colorado Springs, CO. The qualified applicants will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidates will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic. Job Summary QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidates will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Missile Defense programs. The selected candidates must have a demonstrated ability to lead a team of high performing individuals across a multi-site, multi-discipline organization. Job Duties/Responsibilities Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following: Develops and publishes corporate business automation plans using cost-effective delivery technologies in support of major corporate strategies Performs complex software design activities integrating multiple technologies. Provides architectural guidelines for all software design activities to current and future technological environments Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge of technologies, planning, design, and analysis methodologies Responsible for the design and architectural guidelines for current and future software technological activities Will be responsible for designing SW solutions that meet customer requirements Will be responsible for analyzing high level needs. Using a structured and logical approach, will refine the need into an evolving architecture that leads to a fielded product Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related field from an accredited college, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Security+ certification (or equivalent) required Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must possess a substantial understanding of system software design and development, Java development, Object-Oriented development patterns, principles and implementation, Service Oriented Architecture development principles and implementation, software architecture and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) Able to write and implement engineering plans within a project Demonstrated leadership skills over software projects Candidate should understand and possess demonstrable skills including the ability to: Develop and refactor Java code for reusability, readability, and maintainability in an object-oriented codebase Understand and decompose requirements to support verification and validation testing of software components Generate detailed, repeatable, automated test procedures. Extract data to support analysis requirements Generate procedures that test functionality Apply Agile and Lean Product Development principles as well as training others through a DevOps type environment Experience with VMware, Linux, and Windows operating systems, Git, Ansible, JIRA, Confluence and other open source development tools Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions Candidate should have an understanding and knowledge of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). Self-motivated and customer-oriented Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities VMware certifications are desired Security Clearance Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance. Salary Range $82,000 - $161,000 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
