At Easterseals Iowa, we pair people in need of daily supported community living services, with a Host Home Provider, who is an independent contractor. These individuals will provide services, one on one, to those cliental, who will reside in the provider's home and live with the provider and their family to support a positive impact! The goal of the program is to provide the least restrictive environment in the community while allowing the client to learn and grow in independence, alongside developing relationships with members of the community. Providers will assist clients with goals, personal cares, and general life skills. Providers assist with medication administration, providing up to 24 hours of oversight per day, management of personal finances, medical appointments, and transportation. Who can be a great provider? Single individuals Families with children Mature families without children Older Adults Individuals with s trong verbal and written communication skills Individuals with: Positive and solution-oriented mindset Excellent listening, problem-solving and organizational skills A passion for helping others grow and flourish A role model that will advocate for and encourage their client to reach their life goals Easterseals Iowa ensures that the provider meets the needs of the person with disabilities, we will provide quality training on working with people with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities. We want to ensure you are ready, able and have the supports you need to be successful throughout your journey. Rates vary. The rates are based on funds received from the state of Iowa, and everyone's rate is different. Each person served receives a standardized assessment that determines their level of need, and the reimbursement rates are based by this. Please join us as we create life changing opportunities!
