Qualifications: Education/Certification: I ndividual must possess a valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. A current Surface Water Cert of Competency as mandated by the TCEQ (the appropriate Texas agency) is preferred , including any accredited course(s) in surface water treatment operations. **Required to obtain a CLASS "D" WATER LICENSE after one (1) year of experience, and a CLASS "C" SURFACE WATER TREATMENT LICENSE after two (2) years of experience. An Associates or higher College degree will substitute for one (1) year of experience towards the CLASS "C" SURFACE WATER TREATMENT LICENSE. A TCEQ application and a criminal background check will be required prior to taking exam towards license or renewing a license. Ability to communicate effectively with others Ability to correctly prioritize workload Ability to work rotating work schedules and nights Experience: Experience in operation and maintenance of pumps, motors, and other water production equipment and knowledge of pump production. Knowledge of pressure zones, pressure zone boundaries and how water can be transferred from one zone to another, familiarity with terminology used in water pump operations and experience in monitoring charts and gauges, is HIGHLY PREFERRED.
