A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ULTRASOUND TRANSDUCER ENGINEER As an Ultrasound Transducer Engineer, you get to see projects through from start to finish and utilize the knowledge you gained from your degree in mechanical, electrical, or biomedical engineering every day. You lead ultrasound transducer projects through the product development process from feasibility and prototype building through verification and transfer to production. You design, build, and test ultrasound transducers using a design for manufacturing approach. This approach includes performing simulations, fabrication, and testing to ensure that products are designed in a way that makes them easy to manufacture. You support R&D development projects for ultrasound transducers and actively participate in the transfer of designs from R&D to manufacturing. Working closely with vendors, their engineering teams, and the factory, you ensure quality and reliability from concept design through stable production. You are a team player who excels in this fast-paced environment. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or biomedical engineering (MS/PhD preferred) 5+ years of experience in product design, development, and testing of ultrasound piezoelectric transducers or imaging probes Familiarity with transducer characterization (impedance, acoustic tank, pulse-echo, force balance, transmitting voltage response) Working knowledge of the following EDA tools: ModelSim, Synplify Pro, and all Microsoft Office products Modeling software experience including KLM Modeling using MATLAB and Finite Element Modeling using ANSYS or COMSOL Are you driven and able to handle a variety of assignments and changing priorities?
