YOUR LIFE AS A SILICON PHOTONICS ENGINEER In this role, you are key to the manufacturing of our unique sensors. As part of our optical device development and integration team, you work on the design and manufacturing of silicon and other types of on-chip photonic components. You take part in the development of fabrication processes and the implementation of those processes through a foundry or contract manufacturer. To verify performance, you assist with the testing and characterization of the resulting components. Once design plans are complete, you lead, generate, and conduct formal verification and validation. You also conduct technical design reviews with the project team and independent subject matter experts across the company.
