Are you passionate about supporting the next generation of leaders dedicated to achieving meaningful change in the disability community? Are you interested in learning about the impact of interdisciplinary training programs? AUCD, a national nonprofit organization that supports the disability community, is seeking a highly motivated and organized Program Manager to provide technical assistance (TA) to AUCD's Emerging Leaders Community . The Emerging Leader Community includes current and former trainees from Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) programs, Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) programs, and University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) sites, as well as early career professionals. The Program Manager will provide the Emerging Leader Community with resources, including access to a diverse range of disability experts from across the country, and opportunities for leadership, academic, and professional growth. They will also manage TA projects, initiatives, and meetings that address the objectives of AUCD's cooperative agreement with the Maternal and Child Health Bureau's Division of MCH Workforce Development and AUCD's contract with ACL's Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disability Programs. Overview of Responsibilities Manage the planning, facilitation, and implementation of national meetings, trainings, and technical assistance webinars for the Emerging Leader Community. Develop accessible and culturally and linguistically competent materials for trainings, meetings, webinars, and other technical assistance events. Solicit, develop, and package information, best practices, and relevant resources for newsletters, fact sheets, webpages, social media, reports, and other publications for the Emerging Leaders Community. Plan, implement and maintain mechanisms for effectively engaging and promoting leadership among former trainees and early career professionals. Represent AUCD on advisory groups and at meetings and conferences locally and nationally Provide staff support to AUCD, national network entities (LEND/DBP/UCEDD), and partners including but not limited to: Special Interest Groups, Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) partners, and Council-Trainee Representatives. Coordinate committees and workgroups, including scheduling meetings, taking notes, and tracking and facilitating activities and outcomes. Lead and manage the annual application, hiring, and onboarding process for Emerging Leader intern(s). Respond to requests for information, referrals, and assistance from member programs, federal project officers, people with disabilities and their family members, and others. Support LEND and DBP site visits in collaboration with the team lead and funder, including peer consultant engagement, report preparation, and programmatic follow up with participating programs. Engage in priority setting, activity planning and implementation, continuous evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives. Position Requirements You will be qualified for this position if you have: Master's degree in social science, education, administration, public health, policy, or other relevant field (or equivalent experience). Three (3) years of professional experience in human services, health sciences, disability, public health, or a related field. Ability to telecommute from remote locations when needed. Ability to travel, typically 3-4 days at a time, 2-3 times annually. Computer/System Skills: Microsoft Office Programs. You will be considered a preferred candidate if you also have: Prior participation in LEND, DBP, and/or UCEDD interdisciplinary training is preferred. Experience providing technical assistance and consultation in topics related to workforce development, early childhood screening and diagnosis, disability, capacity building, systems change, and/or leadership in higher education settings. Experience adhering to programmatic budgets. Personal or professional experience with disabilities. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000.
