Being A Professional Development Network Consultant Teaching Strategies LLC over its past 25 plus years has solely focused on supporting early childhood teachers with the most innovative solutions that ensure that children are supported to develop and learn to their highest potential. We seek to ensure that the professional development that our customers receive is not only meaningful, engaging, and innovative, but it stretches teachers thinking to become reflective of their practices. To meet this challenge, we seek reflective and engaging trainers to train on our solutions. Being a Professional Development Network Consultant As a professional development trainer, you'll represent Teaching Strategies by conducting training virtually or in-person anywhere in the contiguous United States on any one or combinations of our solutions; The Creative Curriculum® and GOLD®, Coaching to Fidelity, Ready Rosie®, Noni and Al's Pals™. Our research-based approach to professional development consists of: Customized training for our customers Ongoing technical assistance and/or coaching to support quality implementation Relationship-based coaching with teachers and administrators Shared goal setting, classroom observations, and collaborative planning and problem-solving Development of implementation plans, data analysis, report interpretation Study teams, and one-on-one administrator consultation ****This is an independent contractor position**** To learn more about our organization and the exciting work we do visit https://teachingstrategies.com Location: USA; International At this time, preferential consideration given for consultants/trainers in the West and Midwest with the following skill sets: Special Education Multi-language learners Spanish Speaking Literacy Transitional Kindergarten Trauma Informed Care Contractor Responsibilities: Advanced knowledge of ECE best practices, and research Excellent interpersonal skills (communication, problem solving, collaboration), with the ability to build rapport with customers and Teaching Strategies personnel Effective presentation skills for in-person and virtual settings utilizing a variety of collaboration and engagement strategies Flexibility and agility when the best laid plans need to be adjusted and the ability to think on feet, for challenges that may accompany the change Exemplary work ethic, commitment to ensure quality standards are met, and unwavering commitment to excellence Familiarity with various video conferencing platforms to facilitate service delivery Proficiency using technology-based productivity tools including Microsoft Office365, Google and other web applications Availability to travel as needed within a geographic region using various modes of transportation with sometimes little lead time A sense of adventure and enthusiasm for meeting and collaborating with all types of educators from around the country Contractor Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education, curriculum/instruction, speech/language pathology, education administration, school psychology, or comparable (Masters or Doctorate degree preferred). Minimum of 8 years teaching experience Minimum of 5 years administrative or central office/agency leadership experience Minimum of 5 years leadership experience (administrative, central office/ agency, teacher leader, etc.) Experience delivering training (for several consecutive days) to audiences of up to 30. Experience coaching/consulting teachers in applying best practices in classrooms with various populations of learners Experience navigating remote meeting platforms Experience in customer/partnership management Required Training: Completion of Teaching Strategies online LIVE coursework on Quorum i.e. 18 hours total on Creative Curriculum® for Preschool, Creative Curriculum® for Infants, Toddlers & Twos and GOLD® solutions (self-paced with no compensation) Observe 1 virtual or 1 in-person session (6-hours: standard travel costs and 1/2 daily rate paid by company) Co-train a 1-day training in the field (virtual or in-person; standard travel costs and full daily rate paid by company) Additional training as needed in person and via webinar. Product trainings, Attendance at weekly Office Hours and ongoing professional learning sessions accessible in the MyTeachingStrategies platform Highly Encouraged Training: Attendance at the PD Institute (stipend available for travel by company/ no compensation) Compensation: Independent consultants will be offered a daily/hourly rate for virtual trainings. Independent consultants will be offered a daily /hourly rate for on-site trainings ; once we know strengths and abilities and trainer demonstrates advanced knowledge of ALL our solutions then based on expertise, experience, willingness to travel the daily/hourly rate may increase.
