Summary: The Sales Assistant performs a varity of clerical and administrative activities to support the Sales and Branch Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to) : Ensure the smooth flow of information and follow-up for existing and prospective customers Follow-up to ensure timely delivery of literature and samples Check inventory levels for VI accounts and advise if they need to be ordered Place purchase orders and follow-up with Vendors on order status and update PENCOM system Telemarketing calls; maintain a call log with all pertinent details Answer phone calls and convey messages to appropriate staff or direct them accordingly Answer routine product questions and/or direct questions to the appropriate staff Assist in marketing campaigns Partake in annual inventory Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice by management Skills/Knowledge Required: Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills Able to manage competing priorities to meet client needs Must be a team player and be able to work with all other functional groups Ability to function independently with minimal supervision; must be able to follow instructions High energy level and comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) Ability to lift, push, pull up to 30lbs Ability to sit for long periods of time Experience/Education Required: Min HS Diploma and/or equivalent education.
