The Historic Seelbach Hilton is currently searching for a self motivated, career driven individual with a passion for Service and Historic preservation. POSITION PURPOSE Maintain the entire hotel facility, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, etc. and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs. Ensure the upkeep of guest areas to maintain an attractive hotel. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Estimate department expenditures for budget and assist with the capital budget Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in mechanical/electrical systems and equipment through the hotel (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) Perform and document guest room and public areas using the Property Preservation procedures Provide quarterly preventative maintenance summary Maintain guest room and public area electronic lock system to include troubleshooting, programming locks, reading locks, replacing locks, and printing lock reports EPA certified for all refrigerants Maintain all laundry equipment & Kitchen equipment Maintain shop supply pair levels Complete maintenance logs Maintain the building exterior (e.g., snow removal, lawn care, painting) EPA certified for all refrigerants Pressure washes front entrance, side entrances and dumpster area as needed. Solicit and evaluate bids from contractors regularly to ensure proper billing and possible reductions Monitor and inspect contractor's work Conduct annual tool inventory and submit requests for purchases with management approval Ensure compliance with approved vendor list Proactively listen for and respond to guest complaints to their ultimate satisfaction Know and be able to train and explain emergency evacuation procedures of the hotel Train relevant staff on the Fire Panel Train Maintenance technicians for future advancement in Musselman hotels. Help/conduct monthly Safety meetings Attend daily stand-up meetings and weekly staff meetings Update emergency binder and train supervisors and managers to PIC compliant. Be active role in security day to day activities Update QA binder with all required documents, inspections, and services. SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process. Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Requires good computer skills. .EPA certified for all refrigerants.
