Description: The Missouri Secretary of State's Office, Information Technology Division is currently seeking a project specialist/business analyst to help guide our organization into the future. From researching systems solutions to evaluating their impact, our ideal candidate is a detailed planner, expert communicator, and top-notch analyst. The position provides basic to intermediate business analysis skills including testing and clarifying business requirements. Job functions and general responsibilities: Partner with other stakeholder teams across all divisions within the Secretary of State's Office to develop necessary analysis and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with end users and managerial teams Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation Perform software application user testing. Perform software requirements gathering Troubleshoot problems with existing software applications Develop end user documentation Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Proven analytical abilities Practical experience generating process documentation and reports Excellent communicator with the ability to translate data into actionable insights Working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio Capabilities in project and user-testing management Experience with data visualization preferred Proficient technical writing capabilities Education and Experience: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field from an accredited college, university, or technical training institute.
