YOUR LIFE AS A PRESCHOOL EDUCATOR - SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER This full-time teaching position in human services works during school hours . As a Preschool Educator - Special Education Teacher in human services, you work hard to design a classroom environment that's both stimulating and motivating for your students. Each day, you provide a written lesson plan in book form that can be easily stored at the school in case you're absent. You maintain periodic progress scales and attend case conferences for each student throughout the school year. Working alongside other professionals, you implement an approved behavioral system for students and maintain strong working relationships with the coordinator of therapeutic activities. Additionally, you collaborate with the treatment team regarding each child's treatment plan and diagnostic information. You attend meetings and workshops as well as an annual staff orientation prior to the start of the school year. Using your exceptional organizational skills, you develop and supervise extracurricular activities. You also supervise teaching aides assigned to your classroom. Prior to the completion of the school year, you submit accurately maintained attendance records for students.
