ABOUT THE POSITION The Interventionist will be needed for the 2023-24 school year. The Interventionist will assess the children's individual needs and collaborate with colleagues to design individualized programs. The Interventionist will also: Collaborate with teachers and other parties to share subject matter with children Ensure students are supervised in classrooms and other settings at all times Ensure children are safe and occupied Employ suitable classroom management techniques Keep records of lesson plans, and records of children's performance Comply with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) Perform other related duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's Degree Fingerprint Clearance Card PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Education or related subject required preferred Experience working with school-aged children Proven ability in using student-level data to guide instructional decisions Strong pedagogical knowledge and content expertise Demonstrated teacher leadership Strong leadership and interpersonal skills NOTICE OF NON-DISCRIMINATION Sun Valley Academy provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
