Comfort Systems USA Southwest is looking for motivated Plumbers to join our plumbing team!! We are looking for Foremen, Journeymen and Apprentice. Duties: The effective installation of plumbing systems as related to commercial plumbing and inspect structures to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from installation of pipe. Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings using hand and power tools. Cut and thread pipe using pipe cutters, cutting torch and pipe threading machine. Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass, and lead and various non-metals, using hand tools and power tools. Join pipe by use of screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulk joints. Fill pipe systems with water or air and read pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking. May weld holding fixtures to steel structural members. May need to be able to run crews and/or direct apprentices and helpers in safe installation and assembly of plumbing systems.
