Louisiana Health and Rehab is seeking an Accountant to join our Baton Rouge location. Summary : The Accountant will report directly to the Chief Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. Must have experience working with QuickBooks processing accounts payables and receivables, disbursements and expense vouchers. Other daily responsibilities includes keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and completing monthly reconciliation. Responsibilities: Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions. Analyze and review budget and expenditures for local, state, federal, and private funding, contracts, and grants. Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness. Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents. Analyze and revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control. Resolve accounting and billing discrepancies with staff, vendors and clients. Maintain financial databases, software systems and manual filing systems. Interact with internal and external auditors All other duties as assigned by Chief Accountant and CEO. SKILLS Proven accounting experience, preferable as an Accounts receivables/ payables clerk Bookkeeping and basic accounting knowledge Competency in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and other accounting software Accuracy and attention to details Bachelor's Degree.
