Family Services Coordinator Families and Youth Innovations Plus is hiring a full-time Family Services Coordinator (Multiple positions) The Family Services Coordinator implements necessary treatment plans while providing therapeutic mentoring and therapeutic training and support to youth and family members. This involves assessing the strengths and needs of the family on an ongoing basis, teaching clients the health, safety and nutritional needs of the family and how to meet these needs, and identifying support resources and assisting clients in accessing them. Competencies Concern for Safety Information Management Acting with Empathy and Compassion Emotional Intelligence Fostering Communication Professionalism Planning and Organizing Responsibilities: Implement necessary treatment plans while providing therapeutic mentoring and therapeutic training and support to youth and family members Assess the strengths and needs of the family on an ongoing basis Facilitate referrals to support services regarding family issues Assist clients in accessing community resources and provide supportive services as appropriate Teach clients health, safety and nutritional needs of the family and how to meet these needs Facilitate communication between family and team members Interact with client in the home or in the community allowing a period of rest for the family or caregiver Provide and advocate for effective recovery oriented services and support the child and their family Assist youth's family to address the youth's emotional and mental health needs Track family partnership efforts and outcomes Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Work from an accredited college/university. OR, a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Family Services, or a related degree approved by CYFD from an accredited college/university Four (4) years of any combination of experience including working with communities on health or social services related matters, social work/case management experience, behavioral health and /or health care. and licensure by the New Mexico Board of Social Work Examiners at the LBSW, LMSW, or LISW level or licensure in another state and qualified to sit for the next testing session. Or Six (6) years of any combination of experience including working with communities, health or social service related matters, social work/case management experience, behavioral health and/or health care with CYFD appropriate.
