Projects may include: Optimizing machine vision system to maximize defect detection and reporting Optimizing machine PLC software to maximize speed (without sacrificing quality) Optimizing machine PC software to improve recipes, error detection, and communication Assembly of new custom manufacturing equipment Other duties related to this position as assigned by supervisor Complete assigned Automation Engineering projects in a timely manner with courtesy and professionalism Education & Experience: Working knowledge of PCs, Windows, and MS Office Suite Practical problem-solving skills and solid trouble shooting skills a must Excellent organizational skills Excellent oral communication skills Excellent documentation skills Ability to work well independently or with other people in a team-oriented environment Self-motivated and works with minimal supervision Ability to set priorities and be flexible in a fast-paced environment Physical Attributes Required: Able to sit for 8 hours Able to lift up to 30 lbs Able to push and pull 10 lbs This position requires handling of product or information which is subject to ITAR regulations. Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. a Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
