Are you looking for an opportunity to manage the Human Resources of a successful organization with a healthy corporate culture? Christman may just be the place for you. We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead all facets of human resources in partnership with a people-focused Executive Team. This role will partner with business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies focused on talent management, talent acquisition, compensation, and supporting company policies and practices. In addition, they will create and manage programs/projects that include the broader HR team. Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs and recruiting. Provides support and guidance to employees, management, and other partners when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations. Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Partners with managers to facilitate employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Maintains job descriptions ensuring they are up-to-date, accurate and compliant with relevant federal, state and local laws for all positions. Performs other duties as assigned. Work Environment The job will be conducted in a temperature controlled professional office environment, with moderate noise. The role will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a telephone, and working on a computer. Required to regularly talk, listen, reach, kneel, stoop, crouch and maintain visual acuity. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations facilities. Expected Hours of Work Full time, 40-hour work weeks during regular business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may apply. Travel Occasional travel (local and out of town over-night stays) is required. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related field. Five (5) to eight (8) years work experience as an HR Generalist, Senior Generalist, or related job role. - or - Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Preferred Education and Experience PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer focus. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate tasks when appropriate. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn Christman's HRIS and talent management systems. Knowledge of employment law required; experience with multiple states and/or federal contractor requirements preferred. Demonstrated business acumen, leadership ability, and ability to work as part of a team. Ability to organize, set priorities, complete multiple projects within established deadlines and work with a sense of urgency while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
