The Manager of Allocation will work with a solid knowledge of replenishment practices, alignment with merchandising strategies and analytical skill sets to ensure that the right product is at the right stores at the right time. Develop and implement store initial allocation and flow strategies to support sales and inventory objectives and to ensure Merch Type financial goals are met. Partner with Merchandising and Planning teams in executing item/category strategies to support financial plans. The Manager of Allocation will also be responsible for leading a team of Allocators. The role requires a commitment to the support, training, development, and daily management of the Allocation Team Duties: ยท Strong knowledge of store base through analyzing historical store performance, store attributes, cross functional partnerships, and field communication Drive inventory depth planning to support store/category opportunities to continuously improve profitability and productivity across the field Ensure total store inventory levels support the Merchandise & Inventory Management strategies, incorporate field identified opportunities and are properly allocated to support sales & gross margin expectations Attend and support Allocation Turnover Meetings prior to intial allocations to gain alignment with cross functional team on allocation strategies Coach & support direct reports to tie in-season business results to allocation strategies Publish an Available to Sell Report to give transparency to Cross Functional Partners on in-store inventory levels Competencies / Behaviors: Possess a strong analytical ability with a focus on driving business results Possess a drive for continuous improvement in processes, tools, business results and partnerships Proven ability to consistently navigate through ambiguous business situations Proven ability to prioritize, demonstrating logical analysis and problem solving skills Proven ability to be innovative and arrive at new solutions to problems Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with cross-functional teams Proven ability to communicate clearly, reflecting an appropriate sense of urgency and diplomacy to all levels of Management Working knowledge of systems and tools Experience Necessary For Success: 5+ years in apparel as a Retail Allocator or as an Analyst in a retail, financial or store planning role, preferred Bachelor's degree, preferred Preferred experience with JDA Allocation PC proficiency with emphasis on Excel.
