Director of Youth Ministries Abundant Life Church, Indiana Position Type: Full-Time Salaried Job Description: The Youth Pastor will create an exciting and engaging environment. This high level role will lead youth ages 5th-12th grade to discover and fully own faith in Jesus, reaching and engaging disconnected youth in the community. Working to recruit, develop and equip leaders. Essential Functions: Community Creating safe and engaging environments that attract youth Connecting youth to the Abundant Youth Ministry Develop youth for the next step in their faith Manage communication between Youth Volunteer Teams and Campus Pastor Be a team player Provides and implements strategic leadership and initiatives for youth ministry Develop and adhere to safety procedures, in cooperation with Abundant Life Church Leadership teams. Develop, maintain, and grow partnerships with families, school administrators, and organizations Other duties as assigned Leadership Development Recruit, develop and empower youth to serve in other ministries Develop and equip a youth leadership team Attend all church wide/campus specific events Attend Central and Campus staff meetings as required Pastor on-call Rotation Other duties as assigned Experience: Three years' experience in management preferred Experience leading youth ministry Experience in multi-site campuses Familiar with the popular culture of youth Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook Self-motivated Ability to work as a member of a team Role model in personal life: Must align with the vision, and values of Abundant Life Church. Growing in your personal relationship with Christ Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of Abundant Life Church employees, defined by the Employee Handbook This full-time position is eligible for our total compensation & benefits package.
