We are looking to add an exceptional Regional Credit Manager to our growing team! American Metals Supply Co., Inc. is a leading wholesale distributor of sheet and coil steel, prefabricated duct & fittings, and a complete line of HVACR products. What you'll be doing: Receive and post payments to customers' accounts, prepare statements Locate and monitor overdue accounts Run and review agings of customer accounts; investigate short pays and resolve on a timely basis Maintain active communication with customers on delinquent accounts until resolved Communicate and work closely with sales force regarding pertinent payment issues with their customers Maintain documentation for all sales that do not have sales tax charged, keeping an orderly and organized fashion Obtain and file documentation for sales tax credits issued; issue credit on a timely basis Use judgment on placing and releasing customers from credit hold; keep sales (inside and out) up to date on customer status Keep current on lien laws in various states; ensure company has proper documentation for overdue, lien-able jobs Use collection agencies when necessary; monitor collection agencies progress to ensure best chance of collection Weekly review of customer accounts with Controller Process credit applications and create new accounts Network with industry peers to allow open dialogue on customers' payment status at peer's place of work Involvement with regional/national trade organizations to promote company and network with vendors, contractors, and other wholesalers Skills We Require: An exceptional eye for detail Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel Advanced skills with Microsoft Office 365 Solid interpersonal skills Creative problem-solving skills Highly motivated and ability to work individually and in a team environment Interact effectively at multiple levels Maintain high integrity and professionalism Skills That are a Plus: Epicor Eclipse/Solar experience Distribution experience
