JOIN A TEAM THAT IS COMPACT IN SIZE, YET LARGE OF HEART 4 days a week and Every Other Weekend. 10am - 8:30pm Hospice of the North Coast hires passionate clinicians who demonstrate the ability to execute on our agency's mission. Looking for an RN, Admission Nurse- Full-Time POSITION SUMMARY: The Admission Nurse is available to do admissions at the patients home, hospital, board and care or skilled nursing facility. The Admission Nurse performs evaluations for appropriateness for hospice services and initiates the admission process. He/she will educate and inform patient/family of hospice and its services and obtain informed consents. The Admission RN participates in the implementation of clinical policies and procedures; and carries out the organization's purposes in a manner consistent with the goals, objectives, and established policies. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Current California Registered Nursing license, BSN preferred Credentials: If registered nurse, current RN License within the State and BSN preferred. Experience: Minimum of one-year experience in health care management. Previous hospice experience preferred. Core Competencies: Demonstrated skill in administrative performance including expertise in oral and written communication, staff supervision, managing documentation and service coordination. Thorough knowledge and understanding of hospice care, treatment and services. Possesses a sympathetic attitude toward caring for the hospice patient and demonstrates positive communication skills in interacting with other members of the hospice team. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 7 operating system.
