The Arc Lexington, an award-winning agency that is committed to empowering people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as Director for the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts, a program that empowers people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to express themselves and engage with their community through the arts in a fully inclusive environment. The Director of this inclusive arts center will lead the program, which provides a wide range of arts experiences for people of all abilities, including visual arts, performing arts, and culinary arts, and serves as event space for businesses and social gatherings. The successful candidate will have a passion for the arts and a commitment to promoting inclusion and accessibility. Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of the inclusive Arts Center's programs and services Ensure that all programs and services are inclusive and accessible to people of all abilities Build relationships with community partners to expand the reach of the inclusive Arts Center Supervise a team of staff and volunteers Develop and manage budgets for the inclusive Arts Center Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support the program Create and maintain positive relationships with individuals with disabilities and their families Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. arts administration, not-for profit management, special education, social work) preferred At least five years of experience in a leadership role in the arts or disability services field Strong organizational and project management skills Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build partnerships Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with budget management and grant writing Passion for promoting inclusion and accessibility in the arts We hope you will join us in making a difference!
