Fireproofer Applicator with Gulf Coast Industrial

General Summary Fireproofer Applicator are responsible for installing fireproofing materials in new and existing commercial buildings to the required specifications designated by the material manufacturer. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Assist in receiving and unloading trucks. Comply with all manufacturer's specifications. Ability to read and understand spray charts and material thickness. Must be able to apply fireproof coating by trowel. Must be able to use a mechanical sprayer to apply SRFM and able to diagnose any small issues as well as breakdown and clean equipment daily Track daily production rates. Communicate with immediate supervisor and scheduling and material orders. Work off scissor lifts, boom lifts, and scaffolding. Adhere to all company safety/OSHA rules and regulations. The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Ability to operate forklift, scissor lift, or boom lift preferred. Utilize necessary Personal Protective Equipment. Ability to apply SFRM per manufacturers recommendations. Ability to read and write and interpret spray charts. Must be able to understand oral and written instructions, sketches, and diagrams. Ability to work from scissor lifts, boom lifts and scaffolds. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures. Must be able to stand, bend, and kneel often in confined spaces. Work in an indoor and outdoor environment including field, yard, and shop locations. Must have lace-up steel-toed boots Qualifications Education & Experience: • High school education or equivalent preferred • 2+ years spray experience preferred.
