Job Summary The Operating Company Controller reports in a solid line to the General Manager with dotted-line accountability to ASRC Chief Financial Officer. This reporting structure requires leadership acumen and functional expertise, as this is a key member of the Operating Company leadership team. This role will manage and develop the accounting team and ensure each member of the team leverages their strengths and operates in an environment of collaboration. This position oversees the company's finance and accounting functions including month-end close, WIP reporting and financial analysis and reporting. The position is responsible for overseeing accounting team procedures and controls to ensure adherence to regulations and organization guidelines. Job Responsibilities (include but not limited to): Manage month-end close process including WIP analysis and reporting, journal entries, account reconciliations, P&L analysis, and general ledger maintenance as required by GAAP and internal processes Lead the preparation and review of monthly financial reporting, including weekly forecast and monthly management reporting Perform analytical reviews and P&L analysis to provide meaningful insights on operating performance to the General Manager Ensure timely preparation and review of all balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis according to standard close process Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and general accounting team to ensure superior performance Backup for Sales Tax preparation/filing (multi states) Ensure proper revenue recognition calculated through WIP reporting Prepare reporting package for ASRC Industrial consisting of Trial Balance, Financial Statements, Supplemental Schedules and reconciled WIP Report for CFO review Prepare and complete the annual financial statement audit for internal and external audit teams Record various types of journal entries - accruing, reversing, reclassing, and adjusting Manage quarterly forecasts and annual budgeting process as directed. Ensure all accounting and financial activities are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Company policies and procedures Collaborate with functional peers across the Operating Company (including those in accounting and finance) to support overall Operating Company objectives, including regular attendance and participation in all Operating Company and ASRC Industrial Finance Team rhythms Key Requirements Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field 10 years accounting experience with at least 5 years of Controller level experience Experience managing financial portion of P&Ls ranging from $40-$60M Experience managing accounting team of 5+ direct reports Must be detail oriented, analytical and possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Construction industry experience is required with job cost / WIP reporting and analysis ability Advanced computer skills with focus on Excel Experience with Vista Viewpoint a plus CPA designation a plus EEO Statement: AIS and its operating companies affords equal opportunity in employment to all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, pregnancy, familial status, disability status, veteran status, citizenship status, genetic information or any other characteristic protected under Federal, State or Local law.
