Loparex LLC is the worlds largest manufacturer of extrusion base and silicone coated release liners for the converting industry. We have manufacturing operations throughout the U.S., Europe, China, and India. We are currently looking for a Process Engineer to work at the Hammond facility. This position is responsible for providing assistance and guidance on products ran on the machine by working with the area manager and machine operators. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Process disposition of non-conforming product. Set-up database and systems to facilitate use and manipulation of quality data. Data systems design, and work toward improvement of existing databases and systems. Lead successful startup and implementation of new or modified equipment. Work toward process optimization. Statistical analysis of large amounts of data. Lead plant trials Responsible for contributing to the production of a quality product by performing work according to directions and making suggestions to improve all manufacturing processes. Complete projects as assigned by supervisor of the department. Thoroughly understand product quality expectations and keys to product quality for both customer and supplier products. SECONDARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with customer complaint resolution. Assist with acceptance of customer, internal, raw stock specifications, and quality/ process standards. Assist in the development of new products and processes. Assist with resolution of process and equipment problems. Assist in the training of co-workers. Assist with the implementation of corrective and preventative action plans. Servers as Quality Mentor Assist and work with others in other projects as deemed necessary JOB SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS B.S. in Engineering, Chemistry or 4 years related degree Prior experience as a Process Engineer, or related experience in coating and/or web handling techniques Strong math and computer skills Problem solving skills and team concept training A strong background and interest in statistical equality control and database management Knowledge of statistical techniques including: SPC, design or experiments, and quality improvement systems.
