The Position: Perform Audio, Video and Control system programming as required to support the sales, design, installation and delivery of custom audio video systems. Work in collaboration with the Project Manager to ensure that the contracted scopes of work are performed to the highest possible standards of quality and conform to defined performance requirements. Maintain open lines of communication both within the company and with the client and other contractors. This role-specific description applies to Crestron, and possibly other control programming. Responsibilities: 1. Programming: Responsible for meeting project programming specifications. Ensure that all control programming functions are completed in a timely, efficient manner and to the client's satisfaction. This includes the development of new code as well as modification/debugging of existing code. 2. Commissioning: Responsible for the commissioning and testing of control systems at client sites. Ensure systems are operational and on schedule to allow the handover of the completed system. 3. Communications: Define and effectively communicate programming functions and theories of operations to other project personnel and to client representatives. 4. Written Documentation: Contribute to training documentation and operation and maintenance manuals for compilation and delivery by the Project Manager. 5. Other: Perform other project related activities and responsibilities as directed by the Project Manager. Skills: 1. Must have an in-depth knowledge of code modules. 2. Must be fluent in Simpl+. 3. Experience working with Command-and-Control Systems. 4. Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with other control programmers. 5. Comfortable taking directions from other senior team members. 6. Facilitate strict time constraint and perform under pressure. 7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 8. Detail oriented and strong organizational skills. 9. Strong knowledge of AV technologies and integration. 10. Project related travel is required. 11. Must be a US citizen with a valid passport and driver's license. Requirements: 1. Four or more years' experience in A/V control system programming with at least 3 years as a Crestron, AMX, Medialon, and/or other system programmer. 2. Must have completed Intermediate Crestron, AMX, Medialon, and/or other system training program. 3. CAIP certified a plus. 4. Experience with the Electrosonic or Extron Quantum or Vector processors a plus. 5. Tandberg, Polycom, ClearOne, BiAmp certified a plus. 6. Recent or active DoD clearance a plus.
