LEGO Robotics Summer Camp Instructor

Curious Minds Enrichment is looking for robotics instructors for our summer camp program. Join our team to teach fun and engaging LEGO robotics projects in our weekly camps. No previous experience is required, but reliability and enthusiasm are a must. All materials & curriculum will be provided along with comprehensive training! Hours: 8:30 am to 4:15 pm, Monday through Friday for weeklong camps. This position begins Monday, June 12th, and ends Friday, August 18th. You are not required to work every week but you must communicate your availability to us at the beginning of the summer. Compensation and Benefits: $16-$21 per hour (Camp days are 7 hrs, plus setup and cleanup time) Paid training (virtual/in-person options) Reimbursement for First Aid/MAT certification. Travel Bonus available What do instructors do? Supervise camps with 20-30 (possibly 40) campers in an energetic and friendly manner Guide students on their fun projects Responsibly store and maintain all teaching equipment Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times until dismissed Follow COVID mitigation measures as appropriate Your Qualification & Skills Consistent punctuality required Must be able to pass a background check Must be available from 8:30-4:15 pm on weekdays during the summer Strong preference for instructors that can work the full summer through Friday, August 18th Ability to lift at least 20-30 lbs of teaching equipment & be physically active enough to supervise a group of elementary school students for a full camp day. Experience with children is preferred but not required Covid-19 Considerations: All staff working directly with children must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (2 doses of Pfizer/Moderna or 1 dose of J&J) and provide proof. Masking is optional and up to the staff. Additional Information: Camper to Instructor ratio is 10:1. At minimum there will be 2 instructors on site.
