Summary A Maintenance Planner Scheduler is responsible to take a maintenance plan and bring together all the resources needed to complete it. The Scheduling role involves assembling and coordinating the information, people, materials, equipment, along with all the other necessary resources to get the job done. The basic goal of planning and scheduling is avoiding delay. The role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. It takes a professionally trained Maintenance Planner carefully planning and scheduling work to maintain the designed reliability of equipment. Job plans created by the Maintenance Planner are intended to ensure or extend the life expectancy of equipment therefore aiding in the total reduction of maintenance cost and increased output of product. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and is the maintenance liaison between Operations and Maintenance, the planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordination of all plannable maintenance work performed within the facility. Through supervision of the Maintenance Manager the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters. By definition of the role itself the Maintenance Planner is required to interact and communicate regularly with Operations and Maintenance. Not only is the maintenance planner's role to interact with these groups, he serves as an integral member of the relationship between the groups by acting as a liaison between them. Essential Functions (mental & physical) Reduce cost of maintenance while improving service Minimize downtime and interruptions to operations Responsible for developing and managing the engineering maintenance schedules for the factory while level loading PM and Work Order Scheduling Inputs and maintains the engineering master data on MP2 System or CMMS Identifies and implements improvements to the maintenance processes on site Coaches and develops the MP2 and Maintenance planning skills of the Maintenance staff To have technical skills to implement and define with Assistance from Engineering and Maintenance the right PM implementation and spare parts lists Assist with the parts inventory system. This includes entering or supervising the entry of all parts transactions such as issues, returns, and inventory adjustments. Work with maintenance group and vendors to ensure necessary parts are on hand for WO's and PM's while minimizing overall inventory value Help develop and maintain procedures for PM parts and work orders and ensure the plant compliance with these procedures Manage the work order process and system. This includes entering or supervising the entry of all work order transactions and providing the required reports to management and maintenance including KPI's for work order backlog, parts inventory and PM completion Utilizes TPM to deliver the maintenance initiatives on site Assist and recommend new projects and methods to minimize costs while ensuring accurate systems Responsible for maintenance data capture (losses, cost, breakdown analysis, tag resolution.) Responsible for PM and WO kitting process Non-Essential Functions Render better service to operations by prioritizing and performing most important jobs first (as determined by operations) Apply technical and maintenance experience to analysis of each job Provide orderly procedures for processing work to prevent work orders from getting lost: Maintains accurate backlog status B. Reports completion promptly Provide expert maintenance advice to operations Provide a single contact for all in-process, scheduled, and emergency work (area supervisor or functional supervisor) Require that operating personnel anticipate repair work before jobs become emergencies Supervisory Responsibility None Equipment Used All equipment necessary to provide service for Bakery support Qualifications BA/BS Degree is preferred: or equivalent combination of education and experience required Working knowledge and experience in Manufacturing environment will be an advantage 3-5 years working knowledge and experience in managing maintenance schedules, work order process and PM process, maintenance budgets, improvements of maintenance plans and must have root cause analysis technical know how Solid management, leadership, decision making and influential skills and experience is critical Must have in-depth working knowledge and experience in maintenance optimization and cost saving *Must have MP2 (Planned Maintenance, Cost Control and Professional Maintenance model) working knowledge and experience Proficient TPM (PM Pillar)/ Lean experience will be an advantage MS Project working knowledge and experience will be an advantage Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of CMMS ( MP2) and all its functions Communicates well all tasks and planning actions with personnel in Maintenance and Operations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge on AC, DC drives motors, motor controls, sensors, and electrical wiring. Knowledge and maintenance experience in PLCs, (Preferred) Punctuality and good attendance Minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment. Knowledge and maintenance experience in drives, motor controls, sensors, hydraulic, pneumatic controls.
