The Health & Wellness Specialist is dedicated to supporting the Health & Wellness of Older Adults through Community Outreach and Specialized Training. Must be self-motivated, be able to facilitate low-impact exercise and self-management workshops for small groups and work well with a team. Strong organizational skills are required, Flexibility/adaptability is essential. Willing to travel. This is a position on the staff of the Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida. The employee will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the Health and Wellness initiatives of the Agency. Additionally, this position supports other Agency functions as required, including outreach. This position reports to the Director of Programs and Planning. The role of this position is to ensure all annual deliverables are met in accordance with the Agency's annual predetermined deadlines in order to ensure that all grant dollars can be drawn down for the Agency in accordance with the guidance of the Director of Programs and Planning. The role of this position requires a high degree of independent action and initiative on the part of the employee.This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The employee must be able to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders and have the ability to meet deadlines and keep to a timeline.
