Golf Course Laborer

Philadelphia Country Club is seeking individuals who enjoy working outdoors on a temporary, seasonal part-time or full-time basis. In this role, you are responsible for general daily grounds maintenance of Club grounds, performing work involving the use of large and small equipment, performing routine manual labor, and semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work. Schedule: Monday - Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, work every other weekend mornings. Preferred Experience: One (1) year landscaping and/ or golf course maintenance experience. Job duties: - Safely operates equipment such as mowers, tractors, skid loaders, trenchers, trucks, chainsaws, fairway and rough aerifiers, spreaders, leaf blowers, trimmers, etc. - Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, and tees. - Trims around trees, fence lines, banks, hillsides; edges cart paths, rakes, and maintains sand bunkers. - Moves, loads or unloads sand, dirt, debris and other materials when needed. - Removes sand, dirt, debris, divots, and cuttings. - Responsible for daily maintenance of sand traps. - Waters and fertilizes tees, greens and fairways. - Sets tee markers and cups on greens daily; maintains ball washers; replaces flags when needed. Job Requirements: - Previous grounds or laborer experience preferred, but not required. - Must be willing to undergo background checks in accordance with Pennsylvania state laws. - Must meet PCC standards for uniform, grooming, and hygiene. - This job requires to perform work and be on their feet for 8 or more hours, with possible overtime each week. While performing these duties, frequently lifts, carries, or otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds. Job Type: Temporary, Seasonal; full or part-time flexibility.
