If you want job flexibility and to make a difference in the community, join Acenda's Cooperative Outreach Police Exchange (COPE) Program in Gloucester County as an Emergency Screener. You'd be joining a team focused on healing our communities! Acenda is an integrated health care agency dedicated to industry-leading prevention, treatment and wellness services compassionately delivered to ensure that every individual, family and community achieve their greatest potential. What you'll do: Team will provide preventative care and strong collaborat i ve treatment with specific law enforcement to ensure that communities are supported, educated, and guided to proper mental health communities. Team will train with specific law enforcement agencies to define roles in psychiatric emergencies. Team will educate law enforcement in what constitutes a psychiatric emergency. Team will be stationed but not limited to individual police stations to offer assistance to those seeking psychiatric assistance. Team will also respond to residences as well as other community settings. Along with emergency dispatches, team will conduct preventative outreaches to the community. These referrals will be prov ided by law enforcement to individuals that are seeking psychiatric services but do not meet the criteria for emergency screening. Team will attempt in person follow ups of clients discharged from PESS/COPE . These follow-ups will include success ful entry to mental health treatment. The COPE team will be trained by SWAT: Respond to SWAT calls in the community. Offer assistance to SWAT that includes psychiatric history. Gain collateral information from others involved such as family or friends. The information would be shared with SWAT as well as help to develop the disposition of the patient. What we provide: Competitive Pay CEU's and free training programs An innovative culture that allows you to grow and learn with the agency Participate in opportunities to learn and practice evidenced based protocols Supervision for growth and licensure Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits Generous Paid Time-Off 401k Employer Match Flexible Spending Accounts, Life & Long-term Disability What you'll bring to the team Master's degree in the mental-health-related field from an accredited institution, plus one year of postmaster's, full-time equivalent, professional experience in a psychiatric setting; Bachelor's degree in the mental-health-related field from an accredited institution, plus three years post-bachelors, full-time equivalent, professional experience in the mental health field, one of which is in a crisis setting; Bachelor's degree in the mental-health-related field, one of which is in a crisis setting and currently enrolled in a master's program. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record Must have strong clinical skills and a willingness to learn.
