SUMMARY STATEMENT: Will advise and support Museum management and staff, designing and facilitating training, communicating updates on ADA guidelines, chairing the Accessibility Committee, and being the main contact for visitors with disabilities to ensure that the Museum complies with all state and federal regulations regarding ADA and 504, assuring the Museum provides a welcoming, inclusive environment for all visitors. Participate in the Guest Service Program to support the Museum's commitment to providing our guests and colleagues with a welcoming and comfortable environment: The Guest Service Orientation (Mandatory) The Guest Service Experience RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as a point person for accessibility complaints, questions, auxiliary aids, and other services daily. Design and facilitate 4-6 accessibility workshops for staff and volunteers to include Museum management. Communicate new policies & guidelines monthly. Facilitate the monthly meeting of the Accessibility Committee. WORK SCHEDULE: This position is Part-Time/ Hybrid, 29 or fewer hours per week, Monday - Friday REPORTS TO: Senior Vice President, Exhibits & Research MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Thorough knowledge of the field and procedures of an area and general knowledge of related areas of the MOS. Bachelor of Science or Arts degree preferred. Experience: More than three (3) years, less than five (5) years of experience. Demonstrated current knowledge of ADA and 504 regulations Experience with people with a broad range of disabilities Knowledge of various current adaptive devices and accessible technologies Mediation and facilitation skills Organizational and analytical skills STARTING SALARY: Non-Exempt, $28.24/ hourly BENEFITS: Benefits for full-time, exempt (salaried) staff include free parking, T accessibility, 23 vacation days, 12 holidays, 10 sick days, medical, dental, and vision insurance, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, retirement and savings plan, health care/dependent care flex spending plan, employee discounts, employee referral program, tuition assistance, professional development, direct deposit, free admission, free Duck Tours, discounted movie passes, and much more!
