SUMMARY: As an Agronomy Sales Associate, this individual will work closely with the Sales Agronomists and the Business Development Manager in learning how to promote the sale of products and services that most benefit the customer-owner's operations. At times, this individual will perform various agronomy duties including, but not limited to: loading NH3 and fertilizer, custom application, treating seed and delivering product to customer locations. Works with operations to maintain equipment and facilities. Provides high levels of customer service while working with customers, agronomy department and sales team. QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Plant & Soil Science or related field. CDL with Hazmat endorsement. Commercial applicator license. Effective communication skills and computer skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience within Ag Retail. Previous experience as a Custom Applicator. Interest in pursuing Certified Crop Advisor certification. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be exposed to chemicals, moving, mechanical parts, high noise levels, dusty conditions, internal and external temperature/weather conditions, and extended work days. Must work seasonal extended hours, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to lift and carry 70 pounds and climb ladders.
